I get lots of questions asking me about Cricut Rewards, especially in my Cricut classes. How do I sign up? How do I cash in? How do I…? Well you get picture. So in this episode of This Bug’s For You, I’m going to go over all of that so that you don’t miss out on all the freebies (like cartridges or even a brand new Create) you can get just for spending money you would have spent anyway.

The holidays are upon us again. I’m not sure I’m ready for cold and snow, but I am ready for Christmas cards.

I used my Gypsy to make the file for this card, so I can’t share it with you just yet, but as soon as I can, I will!

For this project, you will need:

Your Scor Pal for clean, straight creases

Adhesive such as Glue glider pro or an ATG gun

A holiday stamp and and ink pad. Mine are from Close to My Heart.

rhinestones. Any tiny white ones will do.

Your choice of ribbon in a holiday color.

Pop dots. If you want to learn how to make your own, check out my video on the subject.

Green and red stickles

This is one of the first of many holiday cards I’m making this season, so be sure to check back for more.

For those of you that have been asking what the paper is that I used for this card it is made by Imaginisce and is called Fairest of Them All/Enchanted Garden. As several people commented, the paper does make the card!

More cards! I have been experimenting with my Gypsy so I’ve been making lots of cards. I made this extra sweet cupcake card for a friend of mine, and can’t believe how cute it is!

For this project you’ll need:

Your Wild Card cartridge.

A Scor Pal.

Adhesive such as an ATG gun, or Glue glider pro.

Sugar Coating Glitter Lily White

A small piece of acetate.

It’s that time again. Another episode of This Bug’s For You. This time I’ll show you how to make a really cute and easy monogram card with acetate.

I used my Gypsy to design this card, so until Provo Craft makes it compatible with the Design Studio software, I can’t share my files with you, but you can still use this technique with a variety of designs.

For this project I used:

Acetate Hint: If it can fit my current project, sometimes I’ll use the acetate from Cricut cartridges or other packages that usually just gets thrown away. You save money and the environment all in one project!

Rub ons There are lots of ‘em out there. Just whichever brand and design you choose.

It’s time for more card making! This time, I’m going to show you how to do a simple suspension card. I did one for Halloween with a pumpkin being the object suspended, but you can do it any way you like.

Double Sided Tape

Zig Glue

Fishing Wire, or other clear wire of your choice

If you want to make a simple, yet impressive looking card for that special occasion, check out my video.

It’s a simple gatefold that turns out super cute for a birthday card or just when you want a quick card that looks like it took all day. You’ll need a Scor-Pal, and a few other materials, but you can easily change the design to suit your needs. For those of you who like the teapot design in the video, I’ll have the Design Studio files available for download tomorrow so be sure to check back.

Do you buy lots of pop dots in order to give your cards and projects a 3D effect? I used to as well, but when I realized the cost of them, I figured out how to make my own. All you need is your Xyron, and some fun foam. Watch the video for step by step instructions!

This Bug’s for You: Episode 1-Cardstock

Have you ever noticed that when you fold your cardstock to make cards or other projects, sometimes it just cracks? Want to prevent that? Check out my tip below, you’ll never have that problem again.

Now that you know how to stop it from cracking there are other useful things to make your creases perfect. My favorite is the Making Memories Bone Folder, or the Measuring & Scoring Board by Scor-Pal, but there’s also a pretty good one in your Cricut tool kit as well.

Now you’re on your way to making beautiful cards.
